In short...

...I am currently back in Rome, my home town, after years of living, studying and working abroad. I have come back here with Darren, my husband, and Gatto, my cat, after having lived in Norway, England, Scotland, Canada and France.

I am currently a middle and high school teacher at RIS (Rome International School ), which offers a great learning (and teaching) environment. I also collaborate with the Italian foundation Italiadecide, which monitors the quality of public policy in Italy. Darren is a digital editor for OUP and McGraw Hill; at the same time he's working on his PhD thesis. Right before coming back to Italy, I was a post-doctoral researcher at the CSMN, at the University of Oslo. Oslo is a great place, and so is CSMN.

I completed my PhD in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews (Arche' Research Centre); I worked for Oxford University Press and, before that, Waterstones UK.

While working on my PhD, I taught or tutored various modules at the University of St Andrews, including Basic Logic (for Master students), Epistemology, Critical Thinking and Philosophy of Science; I also tutored a special needs student for a variety of subjects (Political Philosophy, Anthropology, Philosophy of Religion, Ethics). I enjoyed teaching - and still do! :-)

Before St Andrews I was a graduate student in Pisa, and before that I took my bachelor degree in Humanities (Philosophy and History). During my undergraduate years I was also a visiting student in Paris, at the Sorbonne (Paris I). As a child, I lived in London England with my family; there I took my GCSE and part of my A-level. I then kept traveling abroad for many, many years.

Apart from living and working all over the world, I enjoy studying languages (my Norwegian is still pretty basic though...), playing with XHTML and reading Psychology, History and Politics essays.

I happen to have the most beautiful cat in the world, who also takes up some of my free time.

I am not sure for how long we'll stay in Italy...but I guess we are trying to settle down a bit now.
